MAST Inc. Laboratories: NDE and Instrumentation Facilities: 2,500 Sq Ft facilities adjacent to BWI airport encompass full complement of research and inspection equipment including data and signal processing computers, eddy current, thermal and ultrasonic NDE. Many analogue and digital ultrasonic flaw detectors, including several custom ultrasonic rf drivers and amplifiers enabling frequency testing from 20 KHz to 50 MHz. Large selection of conventional and custom ultrasonic transducers. Custom R&D non-contact laser and air coupled ultrasonic test systems and a variety of electronic support equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, filters, amplifiers, power supplies, etc. Signal acquisition supported by a variety of digital instruments capable of sampling rates in excess of 100 MHz. Ultrasonic testing capabilites including specialized evaluation of components and structural testing including thick composite. Testing supported by automated ultrasonic immersion/water jet multi-axis C-scan systems including 4'x5'x5' facility with automated turntable, computerized data acquisition and analysis and a 6'x4'x2' water jet dual arm 7 axis NC gantry system.
